About LaRae Kerr
You've seen columns written by LaRae Free Kerr, M.ED., in The Provo Daily Herald, the Logan Herald-Journal, the Las Vegas Desert Saints, on Myancestorsfound.com and in other venues. LaRae's decades-long genealogical experience includes researching for clients as well as her own family, writing award-winning books and articles, spear-heading family reunions and lecturing at colleges and genealogy workshops throughout the United States. She belongs to the International Society of Family History Writers and Editors and the Association of Professional Genealogists. She is also the genealogist for the George Allen Wadsworth and Absalom Pennington Free family organizations. Below are some of the awards she has received.

-Sons of Utah Pioneers first place award for a Wadsworth article
-First place from Idaho Press Women for her family history "George Allen Wadsworth - Pilley to Panaca"
-An honorable mention from the Heartland Genealogy Society for "George Allen Wadsworth -Pilley to Panaca."
-A finalist from the Genealogic and Historical Society of England for "George Allen Wadsworth - Pilley to Panaca".
-She also won a third place prize for a column from IFSHWE.
